Mark Joseph Blagoue
Mark Joseph Blagoue, 85, passed away September 29, 2024.
Mark was an electrician for 40 years for the local union. He was very handy and could fix anything. Because of this he was often asked by friends and family for help with plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks. He was always willing to lend a hand and took great pride in what he did ensuring the craftsmanship was perfect in every way.
Mark loved sports. He played basketball and baseball from high school into adulthood, and liked to fish, hunt, and golf. He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and was able to attend many hockey, baseball, softball, curling, tennis and skating show performances. As his family grew and distance did not always allow him to attend grandchildren's events he was able to watch and cheer through internet advancements.
He took great pride in his family and loved having grandchildren. Mark enjoyed reciting rhyming jingles of life's lessons and would repeat these to his grandchildren. They will forever be able to recall and recite these. Extreme wit and a great sense of humor made him fun to be with. He could easily bring laughter to a room with a great joke or story.
He and his wife Adele were also excellent cooks. Over the years they hosted many family events and holidays. Their table was always overflowing with abundant amounts of food that could have fed an army. He personally made extra leaves for this table to allow everyone to be together. Their home had an open door and everyone was welcome at their table. No guest ever left with an empty stomach or without left-overs for a week.
Mark is survived by his wife of 65 years, Adele Vecchi Blagoue; children: Mark (Tamera) Blagoue, AnnMarie (Jeremy) Underwood, Carol Kemble, Michael (Tracey) Blagoue; grandchildren: Nicole (Kyle) Fagerstrom, Tanner Blagoue, Reece Blagoue, Cullen Smith, Jared Smith, Makena Underwood, Dillon Kemble, Cate Kemble, Hannah Blagoue, Meghan Blagoue, Owen Blagoue; great grandson, Scout Fagerstrom; siblings, Marilyn Bay, Kathy DesRosier, and George Blagoue.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Mark Blagoue; brother, David Blagoue; granddaughter, Leah Blagoue; and great-grandson Calvin Fagerstrom.
The Blagoue family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Fairview Homecare and Hospice Team and Heritage Manor Team for their kindness and care of Mark. We are grateful you were with us on our journey.
