Not sure what to say?

Dear Mr Blum, sorry for being so late. In 1981 you gave me a home in your very nice family in Colorado Springs.I was on an exchange program with Colorado College. I spent an amazing time with the four of you.One day I was playing my guitar. You were sitting in the next room. I started the German folk song singing: Du,du liegst mir im Herzen - and then you finished the song with- du,du liegst mir im Sinn. I have never forgotten and will never forget. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR KNOWING YOU.Christian

Dear Friend Jan, It is with sorry as I write. What a special person Mark was in his medical field and any thing he set his mind to do, including helping you with your stitches in your quilts. May his knowledge and compassion be inherited by his boys. God be with you now and know that you are in our prayers. Much love to you. GOD bless.

Jan & Mark, you touched many lives in your great adventures together. Mark will be missed by all. God bless you and your family in this time of loss, Jan, and know that you now have a special guardian angel to watch over you. Rest in peace, Mark.

Mark never let me forget that ground loop we did when I took him up in my airplane at the University of Nebraska! I will miss our discussions on World War II history and sharing flying stories.
Thanks Mark for taking care of the troops in Vietnam and the veterans at Sturgis. Jackie and I will take care of Jan and Ivan now so you don't have to worry.
Heaven will provide you with all tail winds and VFR flying; save a hangar space for me!

He was the very best of the best. he kept me on my toes in the OR, which was good! It truly was an honor and privilege to work with him.
There is a bamboo fly rod on the wall in our sunroom that belonged to my father and Mark restored it for me! So special!
It was very much a life well lived.
Much sympathy to you Jan and his sons.

Dr. Blum was the BEST I've ever worked with! He had a presence and demeanor that I will never forget. I have great respect for him and think of my years in surgery with him as Chief often and I smile!! Jan, may you be surrounded by wonderful memories of him, hugs to you over the miles!

Dr. Blum was the most incredible man I have ever met. I learned so much from him while working in surgery and have tried to pass that knowledge forward to those I have taught since to keep his legacy alive. He demanded perfection so that his patients would be provided the absolute best care. I have so much respect for him. Mark rest is peace you will be missed.
