Not sure what to say?

I. Worked with Mark at Gerber...what guy!!! I have a lot of his art work an carvings! N He was a wonderful friend!! Loved him!!

I hope this isn't too late! The last couple of weeks I've been going through old photos and found several of Mark. We worked at the Portland Zoo together in 1966-67. I still have a drawing of his that he gave me as a gift. Tonight I found a photo he took that must have been meant for a photo contest. I decided to google him and found his obituary. Thankfully there was a photo of him too. Waiting so long to find him was a mistake. However, it sounds like he had a good life with friends...

Mark was a great person. Mark and I became good friends while working on Gerber's packaging. I was responsible for Gerber's packaging and I could always count on Mark to help me meet our deadlines. When you get to heaven, please let my parents know that you are my friend. I miss everything about you.

Mark was the first illustrator (and designer) that I actually worked alongside of, being that my time at Gerber was the first full-time gig as a graphic artist I had ever had. I instantly felt a fatherly kinship with him and he taught me a great deal. We had a mutual love of movies and comic books. When he found out we had a shared interest in Ray Harryhausen (of which I was a novice fan and he was expert) he immediately loaned me a stack of books and magazines to learn more. He gave all of...

Beaverton Class of 68 put out some great folks and Mark was one. Very funny and gifted sketcher. Sorry I lost touch after High School. I was also sorry to here, Domi Tentoea passed last April. Rest guys-- you did well.

Dear, sweet Marky. We miss you so... your sense of humor, your creativity, your generosity and your love. Honored to have had the pleasure of working next to you for over a decade. Condolences to your family whom you spoke of often with love and pride. Thank you Russ, for taking such good care of him. Much love to you. xo

I always enjoyed good laughs with Mark at our family get togethers. He was a wit and a bon vivant. He had a warm smile and laughter that I certainly will cherish and remember. God bless you, Mark!

I never met a more gentle soul in my life. I will always consider Mark one of my dearest friends. I will miss him greatly. Our time together at Gerber was the best. Mark was the most artistic person I ever encountered. I am so happy he had the ability to spend time with his family and the great Cabin. I know he and Russell were extremely happy together and that he will be greatly missed.....but will always live on in our hearts.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. Psalms 116:15.
