Mark O. Curry
LANCASTER: Mark O. Curry, 68, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Pickering House with loved ones by his side.
He was born on July 1, 1946 to the late Ance and Olive (Marcum) Curry. Mark served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Western Electric for 35 years. Mark is a member of AMVETS, American Legion, 40/8 and Baltimore and Terry Web Lancaster VFW where he was past commander. Mark was very patriotic and an active member of the Veterans Community. He enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary (Watson) Curry; daughters, Traci Stacy (Fiancé Eric Howell) and Lisa Curry (Joe McKibben); special dog, Angel; grandchildren, Mark, Greg, Tiffy, Skylin, Ryan, and Jason; great grandchildren, Taylor, Kayliegh, and Savannah; brother, Ance (Polly) Curry; special friend, Peachy "red headed girlfriend".
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by an infant brother.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 1:00 PM at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Ernie Doling officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with a military graveside service conducted by the Baltimore burial detail. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 24 from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
