Not sure what to say?

I am glad Mark remembered me from the post office and friended me on facebook where I have some of his thoughts. I imagine he is having a great time in heaven with Jesus. I look forward to seeing you when it is my time some day, Mark. Til then, so long. Request to the Lord to give us some peace on earth and more love, ok?

mark, you were a good friend, i enjoyed our conversations on religion and life in general. i am grateful that your suffering is over but sorrowful of your passing. you were very brave. thanks for serving our country over in the nam. we'll see eachother again brother.

So sorry to hear of your loss Kris, if I would have know, I would have been there on Sat. for the memorial service. I am praying God will give you the strength to get through this!

I will miss Mark. His beautiful wife, Krystal Brown, is my sister. Mark's illness was very heavy on her mind as was the kids. I saw Mark only a few hours before his death and he was throwing out jokes and talking about kicking the curbs of Heaven. He will be missed by many. He has left a big void in the life of many people. He touched the lives of many people when he was a front page Article of Pionerr Press Oct6-7. He died a day or so after he had done the interview with Ruben Rosario...

Remembering happy times with Mark in our growing up years. His cousins were my cousins too, and I remember good cousin-times at Mark's farm. We had great meals and spirited conversation around his family's dining room table. Then we tromped through the pastures - talking and laughing. But mostly I remember Mark from our Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Osage, Iowa. I remember summer Sunday School picnics at the park in Brownsville, winter sledding on the snowy hills at the...

I just found out about Mark today. I visited with him a couple of weeks ago up in the Cities. He still had that same infectious laugh that I remember from high school. I'm sorry for not being at the memorial service. RIP, my friend. You will be missed. Your brother in Christ.

Mark will be a missed man in all aspects of his life, including the neighborhood. He was a very handy to man to my grandmother who lives next door. Rest in peace, Mark! My thoughts and prayers are with the Gilbert family.

I started emailing Mark after my daughter, who worked with Mark, gave me his email address. We shared our great love of this country and he will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to all of your family!

Mark,as we all know, was a proponent of governmental common sense. Though he often found the shortcomings in our system, he truely love the USA, as he was able to express his views freely and without persecution. He valiently served our country's military in the Asian Arena. I personally will miss his quality laugh. Our prayers to all his family and friends.
