Not sure what to say?

Dr. Hausknecht lives on in my mind and heart as both a truly extraordinary gifted doctor and human being. He continues to leave a lasting impression I believe in all of his patients. I viewed him as a teacher in many ways. He had the most beautiful spirit that still shines brightly in all those that were blessed to call him their doctor.

He saved my life in 2005; when my mitral valve was hanging by a string and I was drowning on my own blood. Had he not been there to take...

My husband and I speak of Dr. Hausknecht often. We were both patients, and Dr. H also took care of my husband's parents. Both parents lived many years longer with his care. We loved his sense of humor! Such a good doctor and a better person!

Among so many remarkable friends I made at Cornell and Sigma Pi, Mark was a truly extraordinary person. His intellect, sensitively, kindness and humanity set an example we all could hope to emulate. I am heartbroken for his family, patients, colleagues and friends. We have all lost a very special person in our lives.
