MARK "MARK-BOB" MIDDLEBROOKS COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA Funeral services for Mark Middlebrooks will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop, with Brother Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment and committal services will follow at Mer Rouge Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Mark Ashley Middlebrooks was born January 6, 1975 in Monroe, Louisiana and he passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2016 at his home in Bastrop. Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Williams; his sister, Alicia Roberts and brother, Clint Roberts; his paternal grandparents, Lawrence "Bee" Middlebrooks and Erma Lee Middlebrooks; and an aunt, Charlotte Williams. Mark-Bob was a graduate of the Bastrop High School Class of 1993 and a Captain with the City of Bastrop Fire Department with twenty years of service. Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing and times spent with family and friends. He held a special love his grandson and cherished the moments he was able to spend with him. Mark is survived by his wife, Lisa Middlebrooks; his parents, Judy and Steve Middlebrooks; two children, Chelsee Goyne and Bryar Goyne; his beloved grandson, Jaxx Laing; maternal grandparents, Buddy Williams and CeBelle Williams; and step-brother, Chris Welbrink and his wife, Sherrell and their children, Avery and Landon Welbrink. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be firemen, Timmy Williams, Damon Carroll, Josh Morrison, Duffie Moore, Thomas Crowder, and Jeremy DeFee. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30th, at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. For those who wish donations may be made to Cox Funeral Home to help defray the funeral expenses.
