Marlene A. Latham

Marlene (Eckholm) Latham the daughter of Harvey and Loretta (Mitchell) Eckholm was born May 16, 1933, in Armstrong, Iowa, and departed this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at her home in Armstrong, at the age 76. She received her education in the Armstrong schools. On February 24, 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard Clay at the Free Methodist Church in Armstrong. After their marriage, the couple moved to Humboldt. Marlene worked in different factory jobs and also worked road construction. On September 26, 1966, she was united in marriage to Duane Latham in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Marlene was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Armstrong. Left to cherish Marlene's memory are her children, William Clay; Roger Clay; Harold Clay; Colleen (Clay) Miller; Rick Clay; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Lavonne Blom and her husband, Floyd; Velma Weir; and Pedro "Marvin" Eckholm and his wife, Bev. She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; sister, Sylvia Gentry and grandson, Lucias Clay.
