Marshall "Bud" Galloway, 87 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Mr. Galloway was born in Virginia to the late Dave and Mazie Fields Galloway. Marshall served in the U.S. Army during WWII; and retired from the Shelby County,IN Sheriffs Department with 15 years of service, the Henry County, Georgia Sheriffs Department with 10 years of service, he was a volunteer fire fighter in Fountaintown, IN for 15 years, and retired from International Harvester with 27 years of dedicated service. Mr. Galloway was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Frances Galloway in 1998. He is survived by his daughters Marsha Hamilton of Fayetteville, GA, Sue Leary of Hampton, GA, Jan Angell of Hampton, GA, and Jenny Smith of Stockbridge, GA; son Henry Galloway of Newnan, GA; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Ward's Fairview Chapel with Rev. Bob Payne, and Hinton Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 4 to 6 PM at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. 770-474-1231. Galloway Family...you are in our thoughts and prayers. So sorry to hear of your dads passing, but Happy for him to hear of his home going. Thank God that you have that assurance as to where he is and that you can see him again someday. God bless and give you peace and comfort as you now share the memories of the time between his birth..and his homegoing.
