Dr. Martin "Mart" McMullan

I work as a RN MANY YEARS WITH Dr. McMullan. He was a great surgeon. The staff on 3A and 3B loved him. So proud to have been part of his team. What I remember fondly about him is what a great father he was. MLee was orienting to the charge nurse role on 3A. This was not a role she wanted to do. Still a new RN. On a Sunday afternoon we had to make rounds with her father. He was her biggest cheerleader, telling her that she could do it and trying to instruct her on what she needed to do. This...

A major loss of an all time great guy. Mart was a former dorm roommate with me at Mississippi College and a life long friend. Good looking guy with a big heart! Mart will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Lyllian and all the family.

Remembering your great love story today and always.

I could not stop the tears when I heard of the loss of one of our favorites in our medical school of '66. We all loved him for so many reasons, too numerous to count. He will be missed by all who knew him. What a loss!

Oh, the memories of life as kids on Davis Street! Mart was 8 years older than me and my idol. He stayed that way, too, especially regarding his help with my mother during her illness. I'll never forget that kindness and how he went above and beyond to help us make the right decisions for her care. Sending love and prayers from San Antonio.

I'm so saddened by this. Some of my most fun and memorable times at Mississippi College were with Mart, Ray McPhail, Barry Landrum, Harry Upton and others. MC was a special place for many of us and holds special memories. Wish I could be there for the funeral. God bless your family, Mart and thanks for the memories. Booker
