Mary Elizabeth (Lamb) Becker

Milwaukee - Mary Elizabeth (nee Lamb) Becker, died at the Milwaukee Catholic Home with family holding her hand on January 26, 2021, at the age of 88. Cherished wife of 55 years to Wayne; beloved mother to Kathy, Jon (Sue) and Lisa. Grandmother to Ana, Lauren, Natalie and great-grandmother of seven. Preceded in death by Wayne, her parents, Aloysius and Eva Lamb and her aunt Anna Chvarack. Mary was an author, a teacher, a knitter, a seamstress, a crocheter and the Northshore Quilter Guild's "Little Miss Sunshine", but lovingly accepted the job of bandmaster's wife and mother above all. She was loved by all who were so fortunate to cross her path. A Catholic graveside committal service is planned for April 24th, 2021, weather permitting, at Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Milwaukee Catholic Home or the Alzheimer's Association.

Not sure what to say?

What memories of sitting around your Mother's home on Santa Monica making paper or learning how to adjust a jacket pattern. I will always remember her quick humor and humility. Rest in Peace, Mary.

Dear Jon, Kathy, and Lisa,
I was so sorry to read about the passing of your Mom. I have the fondest memory of her inviting my Grandma and I over for dinner many years ago. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. And May She Rest In Peace. Caren Halkerston Groose

Mrs. Becker was the commensurate spouse to "Wayne" - my favorite band director. Funny, supportive, decent and just plain nice. Kathy, Jon & Lisa...I grieve with you.

On behalf of everyone here at the Alzheimer's Association - thank you so much for thinking of us at this time of loss to your family. Memorial donations made in Mary's name will be put to immediate use serving families and supporting research. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. Dave Grams, Executive Director

I was a long time friend of Mary. We went all through St Clement Catholic grade school together, from grade one thru 8th and then through Central high school graduating in 1950. We also lived in the same neighborhood on 14th street in Sheboygan Wi. She was a sweet person, and a very bright student in school. Rest in peace Mary and may GOD bless your family.

To Mary’s Family: I was a classmate of Mary at CHS Class of 1950.
She was such a nice quiet person and I remember her clearly. My
sincerest sympathy to all of you. God Bless..
