Mary was, and will remain, a Kalamazoo treasure.

My sympathy to Mary´s family at this sad time. She was an inspiration to me on how to live a life of service and selfless dedication. She was so involved in so many worthwhile organizations that she will be remembered for her many years of making a difference in so many lives. Rest In Peace, Mary!

My first memory of Mary was that of my Sunday School teacher. From then on I saw her periodically at various human service and political related events. Mary is an inspiration, known to be kind, compassionate, a hard worker and very intelligent. Her leadership and great personality will be missed by family, friends and the community at large. Please accept my sincere condolences. Mary´s legacy is a tribute and will endure.

Mary was a wonderful person whose contributions to our community are immeasurable. Always friendly and helpful to her constituents. Mary will be missed. Our condolences to Don and the family.

Mary gave so much to her community, Kalamazoo, and the State of Michigan. She will be missed, and it will be many years before there is such another blessing like Mary to Kalamazoo. Rest in Peace.

Mary was a wonderful neighbor to the Collins kids next door. She served as a true inspiration and role model to me and other young women.
