Mrs Burkhardt was a wonderful lady. She was always kind to me and I have kept my home economic book she had us create for 50+ years. Her kindness is one of my fondest memory of my high school years.

Mrs. Burkhardt was so special to me...she was my home-ec teacher and my friend. I've thought about her so many times and I hope she realized what a big influence she had on my life. She was a good person and a true lady. Carol Vance Robison (Mobile, Alabama)

I loved and admired Mrs. Burkhardt. I still use the recipe file she helped me start in 1975.

Robert & Family, I am saddened to learn of your loss. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Burkhardt during my years at Butler High School ( Class of 1965). Mrs. Burkhardt also awarded me on my Senior Class Day with the Cooking Award. I have never forgotten all the cooking methods she taught me. I will always remember her as a wonderful...
