Not sure what to say?

Thank you Mim for sharing your love and guidance with me through individual therapy and a woman's circle. My love and compassion to her family members who have lost a great woman this lifetime. She remain in Spirit - to still guide us...Namaste

Mim was my roommate at a cancer retreat at Harmony Hill earlier this year. We struck up a unique friendship that helped both of us with our situations. I will miss her, and offer sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Aloha from Kokolulu Farm and Cancer Retreats in Hawaii - Our prayers and blessings go out to the family and friends of Mim. Mim came here for a two weeks retreat in October of 2010. Immediately she she touched our heart and soul and she became a member of our Ohana (family) We spoke with her over the phone many times and visited her when we were in Seattle. In April of this year she came to a gathering of practioners and former guests of Kokolulu in Seattle. She was like a sister to us and we...

I met Mim through the Corrective Parenting Community and loved her instantly. She had a sparkle in her eye, wisdom when she spoke and a presence that created tremendous safety for deep, healing work. She seemed "other worldly" in the best possible way. Love to her close ones- she will be missed by many. Barbara Gray

I met Mim in Zydeco dance classes and workshops a few years ago. We had the great fun of performing together with our class one year at Seattle's Folk Life Festival. She was a regular, too, at Zydeco and Cajun dances at The Highliner Pub. I liked her right away and found her easy to talk with. I will always remember how much she loved music and dance and the warmth of her personality, which lit her smile. My condolences to Mim's family and loved ones on her loss. Barbara West (Seattle)

Mim with Phillip 1987

I met Mim around 1986 when I was a teenage babysitter caring for Phillip. She and Larry shared a new way of parenting with me, modeling an intuitive, holistic approach I hadn't encountered before. Mim was able to consider Phillip's needs and communicate with him gently. She had such confidence as a mother, and I admired her greatly and hoped to be like her one day. I was away at college in CA when Larry passed, and Mim and I kept in touch with letters through that difficult time. I...

September 20, 2011 -- I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend and colleague, Mim Collins. I've known Mim since Spring of 1983, and she was the first cooking teacher I hired that year, when I established the cooking school in Seattle, (now known as PCC Cooks). I had the privilege of being on her "team" of volunteers who took turns cooking for her, and sometimes for her son, Phillip, several times in the summer of 2010. During that same exact time frame I...

I was very sad to learn of Mim's passing. I knew her as fellow therapist. Her presence was bright, gentle, and encouraging. I'm sure the Seattle therapy community will miss her as well as the folks from her other communities.
