Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Drury, Mary “Peggy” Margaret (nee Steele), after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in her home at the age of 57 surrounded by loved ones.

She leaves behind her more-loved husband, Bob Drury; her precious children Jackie and RJ Drury; and her cherished siblings Mike (Martha) Steele, Patty (Joe) Stevens, and Mimi Mueller. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends.

Peggy was the beloved daughter of the late Jack and Mary Jane Steele (nee Coll). She graduated from Jewish School of Nursing in 1979 and has had a long and enjoyable career since then. It has been one of her greatest passions working along side many doctors and nurses, ensuring not only her patients’ care but also the sanity of her coworkers.

Peggy was an avid gardener, dog-lover, and her greatest joy was supporting her children with their passions.

Not sure what to say?

Bob, My sincere sympathy on reading about Mary. Please know that you, your children and extended family are in my thoughts and prayer.
Be assured that my concern and care are with you at this very difficult time in your lives.
(Sr.) Julie

I was sad to hear of Peggy's death. I worked with her at Jewish Hospital. She added so much sunshine to our work environment and OR/PACU parties. Many of the "old" Jewish employees spoke of her kindly over the past weeks after we heard of her passing.
So sorry for your loss,
Cindy Haas, RN

Bob, To you and your Family, please accept our deepest, heartfelt sympathy. We are praying for you all and for peace during this difficult journey ahead of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Peggy at Jewish Hospital and will always remember her as a high spirited, fun loving happy girl. It was always a pleasure to work with Peggy. Sending up prayers for family and friends.

I worked with Peggy in the OR at BJC, I will always remember her smile and friendly personality. She is smiling and rejoicing with the angels. Continue prayers for the family. Nona Simpkins

Please accept our sympathy in your loss. Peggy was so much fun & such a thoughtful, caring individual. She made more friends at the Eldon tournament than most locals there have...they loved her! Feel privileged our paths crossed.
