Not sure what to say?

Mary was the kindest person I´ve ever known and I will always think of her with love.

Oh Mary...one of The sweetest ladies I have ever met. I worked for Mary 20 years ago at her restaurant Geannelis's. She put her heart and soul into everything she did. She Worked morning until nite. And would give her shirt off her back to anybody in need. She will be forever missed by many. Rest peacefully Mary

Mary was a local icon in the community. My family and I spend many good times at her restaurant with her as our hostess. You always felt welcome. She was a first class lady.

Our condolences to the family. Mary was such a sweet lady! She will be missed!

I send my sincere sympathy to Mary's children and family. In the 80s I worked with Mary on many projects at the Bennington Museum. She was larger than life in all the right ways! So much energy and real caring went into her work. She and I also shared a Mediterranean outlook on life -- love of family, culture and heritage.

Some years ago when I worked at the Shea Insurance Agency, Geannelis' Restaurant was directly across the street from the office. I remember especially on many a Friday evening I would have my mom meet me and we would have dinner at the restaurant. Mary Geannelis never failed to come over to our table and say hello and ask us how we were. A very nice and gracious lady is how I will fondly think of her. My condolences to Peter and his family.

Sincerest sympathies to the family. May the God of all comfort be with you during this time

Pam, Peter and Nikki,

My sympathy on the loss of your beautiful mother. Mary has always held a special place in my heart from the time I was a teenager and she would offer rides to me whenever she saw me walking up the hill to Old Bennington. We had many wonderful talks about life. She was one of the kindest women I ever met and I always felt fortunate if I was able to see her when I traveled through Bennington. She was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. I wish you all peace...

Mary was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Vermont in 1985. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered.
