Mary Sipp Green

This is heartbreaking news. My mother was Bessie Boris, Mary's friend and one of her mentors. She was extraordinarily kind during my mother's illness and during that period we became good friends. We recently exchanged emails, but she gave no indication of being so ill. Mary was an exceptional person and artist. Condolences to Jared and her extended family.

Mary was a lovely person-simply, lovely. I am very sad to learn of her early death.

I didn't know Mary well, but when we did cross paths it was always such a pleasant moment. I'm sorry she is no longer in our world and send sincere condolences to her family.

I am so sorry to hear. I modeled for Mary 30 years ago and we've been in touch infrequently here and there as Berkshirerites. She gave me one of her prints and book which I cherish. A remarkable, dedicated talent.

Jared Green was a wonderful friend when I was a child. I was in awe of his parents for the welcoming and warm home that I was fortunate enough to visit. I did not keep in contact with Jared though, throughout the years, I often thought of him fondly.
