Not sure what to say?

I just now found out Mary has passed. I am terribly sad. We celebrated our birthdays every year at Piatti’s. She was so smart and fun. I loved getting together with her. I reached out a few times to see if I could bring her her favorite dessert from Piatti’s but she wasn’t up to it. I should have reached out again but didn’t want to risk making her sick due to COVID. I know her family misses her terribly. She was an amazing woman.

Sukiyaki and family, I just heard of your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful woman who welcomed me warmly to Denver. She was an icon to many of us. She will be missed.

Iam so devastated for this ,I work for her for 8 years when on vacation I cone back to find out that she was gone I still heart broken

Mary was wonderful woman and she and Don were a dynamite couple - giving tremendously to our community . I'm lucky to have known both of them.

I was a Mary T. Hoagland Scholar, who was able to go to law school because of Mary's generosity. It was one of my greatest memories of law school when Mary audited my Feminism in the Law class taught by Professor Sheila Hyatt. We sat together that semester and I learned more from sitting next to Mary as I could in any class. I remember walking the hall with her one day through the years of law school graduation photos, which visually depict the transformation from a time when women could not...

I had the honor and privilege to share Sunday mornings with Mary for over 5 years. She became a true and beloved friend. The lessons I learned through the stories and experiences she shared will be remembered. To have had those moments with her will be something I will hold dear. To her family, I love you with all my heart. To Mary, I love you FLY HIGH (and as I said every Sunday) "I'll see you next week, bye bye my friend"

It was a singular privilege to know Don and Mary Hoagland since the late 1970's. For years, tennis was a weekly visit with Don. I don't remember a bad call or a fit of frustration. Mary and I worked together on end-of life-issues and she guided me and encouraged my commitment. I recall many evening dinners at our homes with never a lag in the provocative exchange of ideas. It will take a good deal of time to accept a world without them.

It was on a week long women's leadership trip down the Snake River in 1986 where I met a woman who would help change my life. We remained friends til her death. And she remained my role model after my own mother died prematurely. My heart aches to lose her. But her great sense of humor and wise counsel stays with me....as does her crocheted door stop! Blessings to all her great kids and grand children. You were immensely lucky to have her as matriarch.
