Not sure what to say?

Mary Ruth was a member of the Ann of Arrundell Chapter, National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, and I spoke with her at meetings frequently. We shared a love of history. I don't know if she was in other patriotic organizations, but she was active in this one. I did not see mention of this in her obituary, although it was beautifully written. My condolences, Past State President, Catherine Masek

Virginia, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She sounds like an amazing woman. It's never easy to lose your parent no matter how old they are. I am a Methodist preachers kid too. Praying for you and your family.

My sister and I grew up with her children and remember the family well. My condolences on the loss of someone who lived a long and active life.

I moved to Genessee Street 41 years ago and met Mr. & Mrs. Jefferies through Calvary United Methodist Church. They would take walks around the neighborhood. Later, I visited with her on Melrose Street, usually for church business. She will always be remembered as a sweet lady with a beautiful home.
