Not sure what to say?

I know Mom had many fond college and other memories of Mary. She had told us of she and Mary taking walks in the rain and getting completely soaked! Because if you were going to live in Oregon(at the time) you couldn't worry about your hair! I too have memories of Mary -spending time during the holidays, in particular, at the Robert's home covering matchbooks with wrapping paper and making o-hos; spending time and enjoying Dutch Babies at the Pancake House when mom hosted for her and Jack -...

My daughters and I met Mary 18 months ago. She was very cordial and welcoming when we moved into the neighborhood. She really tried to engage the young girls in conversation. Last summer they watered Mary's flowers when she was away. When she returned she sent them a beautiful written note and generously some pocket money. Our family's condolences to Mary's family and friends. May she rest in peace in a heaven filled with flowers.
Sincerely,
Ellen, Emily and Victoria Shamrell

My Dear Adopted Mom, Mary. I'm so thankful I had you in my life. You were a wonderful inspiration for living life well, with character, and to the fullest. Your chuckle and your twinkle is ingrained in my heart. I will always love and miss you!

Mary has been on my mind the past month. She was so lively and sharp when we met at our Pacific University Reunion late last June -- she graduated exactly 20 years before I did. So grateful for those moments and the photos I took -- I do have more copies if the family would like them. You're all dear folks, my prayers to you all and thanksgiving for Mary's life.

Mary has been a friend for many years and I will miss her. My sympathy to her family.

I will miss Mary at our bridge club-Green Meadows-- her sense of humor and pleasant manner made her a joy to be around.

Mary was a wonderful neighbor and will be missed by all. She had so much energy and loved working in her yard. Our heart felt sympathy to her family.

Our neighborhood will never be the same without our dear Mary, but her memory will live on in our hearts. I knew her as a wonderful friend and an inspiration for her concern for our county, our state, our nation, and our world. She was a wonderful person and I shall never walk or drive by her little grey home without remembering her smile and the many visits we had, either over a purple tulip in her front yard or a conversation in her living room. I love you, Mary.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mary's family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a wonderful friend that we loved dearly. Iwill miss her wonderful smile and the great fun we had together. Another friend wanted me to include her in this message since we all shared lunches together many times, her name is Carol Bardot. Carol sends her heartfelt condolences to Mary's family also.
