Modesto, California - Mary Rocha Meirinho, age 67, of Modesto, California passed away at Stanford Medical Center surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Mary was born in Agualva, Terçeira, Açores to Iva Rocha and Manuel Martins Brum.
Together with her husband, Mary worked endlessly and taught themselves the skills needed to build a successful and thriving family business. Mary's Family brought a tremendous amount of joy to her life with Tony. She saw time spent with each of them as an opportunity to have them know how very much they are cherished, adored, and loved.
Mary is survived by her spouse of 47 years, Tony R. Meirinho of Modesto, her two sons Larry Meirinho (April) of Merced and Mark Meirinho (Jamie) of Modesto. Mary is also survived by her siblings Fernando Brum of Terçeira, Paul Brum (Evelyn) of Livermore, Maria Rocha (John) of Galt and Eva Martins (Valdemiro) of Modesto. Mary also leaves behind her 7 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kendall, Korbin, Audrina, Madden, Hayden and Alexander Meirinho to honor her memory.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Manuel Martins Brum and Iva Rocha Brum.
Mary was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto, California, she was also past President of Modesto Portuguese Pentecost Association, a member of LUSO American and P.F.S.A. .
A Rosary Service and Funeral Mass for Mary will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1200 Maze Blvd., Modesto, CA 95351.
Following the Rosary Service and Funeral Mass will be a Committal Service at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
Serving as pallbearers are, Randy Rocha, Erik Rocha, Brian Martins, Danny Martins, Michael Brum, Melvin Brum, Paul Brum and John Gomes.
