Not sure what to say?

I was an 8 yr old in her 3rd grade class at Hayes School and remember her fondly, she was my first crush. I also remember her coming into the classroom after lunch crying because President Kennedy was shot. She was one of the best teachers and she made learning fun.

Without question the most influential teacher of my life. Even after leaving Hayes School and moving forward I would return periodically to visit and chat. She was indeed a special teacher and more to the point a special person.

I just found out about Mary’s passing. What a great teacher she was. I had her as my teacher at Hayes School. Mary left a beautiful impression in many of the students she taught May she Rest In Peace.

Miss you every day. I seem to say daily, wish Mary was here she would give me the answer!
Love you, keep my seat warm

Sad to hear of Mary passing. She was a strong woman and a great classmate. Fond memories. Rest in peace Mary.

Mary always had a Smile and Hello every time we crossed paths in High School. Mary will be missed by all of us in the Class of 58.

Thank you, Miss Riccio, for your dedication to and high expectations of your students. Rest in peace.

Thank you for being an inspiration and symbol of strength and hope
