Mary Elizabeth and I shared the same name til I got married and changed mine to Way, much to her relief. I remember the Otis get togethers, the last of which Nancy arranged on one of her trips home from Australia. It was always good to visit the brick house which Clifford and Cecil bought way back when. I was sorry to read of your Mother's passing. She was the 1st grade teacher for both of our children in the former Genoa Central School building.

The kids are now grown with children of their own. Your mother was my absolute favorite teacher of all that Tim and Kathy had from Kindergarten thru graduation.

My sympathy to the Otis family. I enjoyed the limited contact I had with your Mom and Grandmother while implementing the Bill & Melinda Gates Grant at the Hazard Library. She seemed eager to embrace the new technology and improve the service to our community. People such as Mrs. Otis are the soul of our civilization.
