Not sure what to say?

My condolencies to the family, just saw her two weeks ago.Glad I got to hug her and tell her what a great teacher and person she was, may she rest in heaven.

As my.friend& classmate, has already stated,Jess was about the business of learning. She served as an educator & influenced many young lives through her love of learning. I extend deepest sympathies to the Powell Family.

Our prayers are with you at this most difficult time. May God keep you all in His loving care.

I will always remember Mary Jessie with her beautiful smile and loving personality. I got to know Jessie in ways many others did not. She was a highly intellegent and sensitive young lady that you couldn't help but love . We were classmates in high school, roommates in college, and sorority sisters. We shared many great discussions about life and I loved her like a blood sister.

Although we lost touch over the years, she was forever in my thoughts and I prayed for her well...

The First Baptist Church family of Rocky Mount, VA extends their condolences to the Powell family. Praying hope will dawn with each new day and with each sunset....peace. With deepest sympathy.

Deepest sympathy to the Powell family. Mary Jessie was a classmate at Addison. I have not seen her since graduation over 50 years ago. I looked at her picture in my yearbook last night and it brought back fond memories of her as a young lady who was focused, dedicated and "about the business of learning". May your memories continue to comfort you.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
