Read MoreAs part of the Palos Verdes Art Center staff in the mid-90s, I remember how much we enjoyed having Mary Helen as a volunteer receptionist. She was very generous with her time. She was our friend and always brightened our days. I'm sorry that I will be unable to attend her memorial service. I'm leaving the day before on a family trip. Mary Helen will always be our "Irish Eyes Smiling". When it came to family and friends, her eyes lit up with delight. As she traveled her recent journey, again we saw the light in her eyes as she recognized the love around her. She will forever be one of the most unique and wonderful friends we have ever known.
