Mary Racilia Smith

I met Mary in 1992 thanks to Hurricane Andrew. It brought us together at the Department of Children and Families where we became friends. It is hard to believe she is no longer with us. When life gave her knocks, she picked herself up, dusted herself down and started all over again. She was a brave soul and seemed invincable right to the end. I am heartbroken to learn of Mary´s passing. For nearly two decades, I had the honor of working alongside her in community outreach, where she was as kind as she was brilliant.
