Not sure what to say?

Dear Brian, Jack and families,
I am so thankful Tom W. called to tell me of your mother's passing on Easter Sunday! Your parents were both so special to me, and I treasure the years I spent at MSU with them. Your Dad was the best vocal teacher, and your Mom was always at all of the performances smiling and cheering us on! Your parents were so loving and generous, and we spent many a fun time around the coffee pot in your home and at "Jack's Shack"! Participating in the...

Brian, Jack and families, Sincere condolences. One special memory is of your Mom giving our Karin weekly piano lessons when you lived on N. Main St. Both of your parents will be sorely missed in this community. Your Mom and I shared the same maiden name and so very proud of it. God Bless you all. Donna Lee (Stuart) Simpson

Dear Jack, Brian and families: How sad to learn of your mother's passing. She was small in stature, but filled with energy and love. My entire college career was spent with the Wilcox family, including dinners with your grandparents on Pickle Hill. Jack and Josephine were my lifeline to my career as a music teacher. Their life lessons, their knowledge and their love continue to inspire me to this day. My memories and my love for both of your parents will be next to my heart as long as I...

Jack & Brian, Tracy & Chris,
My deepest sympathies to each of you and your children over Mary Jo's a.k.a. Josephine's passing. She was a truly remarkable human who understood grace and love more than anyone I have ever met. I was always so touched that even after we lost Jack that she always sent out Christmas cards. It was one that we always looked forward to and always so moved to be remembered by her. I will miss her terribly. And yet, I'm also filled with so many...

How saddened we were to learn of Mary Jo's passing. She was such a lovely lady and a special person. We have been exchanging Christmas Cards since we left MSU and will miss her thoughtful cards and kind words. She was like a 2nd mom to so may students who had the chance to get to know her through Jack. She never hesitated to open up her home to us with a warm smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family---she will be missed. Beth and David Barron

Dear Brian, Jack and families,
I am incredibly saddened and sorry to learn of your mom's passing. She was such an extraordinary woman who along with your father, meant a great deal to me. Her warm and welcoming hospitality was legendary. I spent many a wonderful evening with them and was always made to feel at home. They will always hold a special place in my heart.
I sent my deepest sympathy to you all.
Most sincerely,

I am sorry for your loss. Mary Jo was a special lady. I enjoyed talking to her each Sunday at the church. Never complaining and always smiling. She was a 'real ' lady in every sense of the word. Her smile will be greatly missed.
