I ONLY KNOW HIM AND HIS FAMILY THROUGH ARTICLES AND FROM LIVING IN CHICO BUT I FEEL TREMENDOUS SADNESS OVER THIS SENSELESS LOSS.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Matthew. I knew him well and was lucky to spend a lot of time with him as a young boy, he was very gentle, sweet and loving. I lost touch with you over the years, but I do remember how much you loved Matthew and always took such great care of him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of Matthew's family at this difficult time.

Michael, When you lived and worked in Little Rock, you often talked about Matthew like a proud father...and rightfully so. I am so sorry to read about this tragic loss. Just know my prayers are with your family.

I didn't know Matt, but I think that Mike is an old friend from some years ago. I remember how proud he was of his son Matt, and that our children shared a birthday.

If this is the same Mike -- I have followed the story in the news and my heart breaks for you. You're in our prayers.

I never met Matt, but from what his Aunt Carolyn tells me about him, I know that Matt was a great kid. Although taken from us at such a young age, we can rest assure that God has his hand on Matt's life and for that reason we can rejoice in the life the Matt lived.
