Matthew passed away in December 2018. Matthew was a resident of Virginia at the time of passing. Matthew served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, retired from GE and was a faithful member of the Swift Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 13, from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1:30 p.m., at Swift Creek Baptist Church, 7511 North Spring Run Rd., Midlothian. Burial will follow in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse (samaritanspurse.org).
