This is such a shock. I had the pleasure of working with Matt on several litigation inspections. My most fond memory is of Matt running off during long breaks to work out, then eating turkey jerky for his lunch. I would reprimand him but he was so young, in great shape, and seemingly invincible. I found a couple of old photos of Matt from jobs past. So long Matt. You made the world a better place during your short visit here.

Thank you Matt for making my cousin so happy, you were a treasure to our family. We miss you and our prayers go out to the entire Goettsch family and his friends for their loss.

My Tribute to Matt Goettsch

Six or seven years ago I met Matt and was immediately drawn to his warmth,openess,and maturity.

It was August of 2004 when we went camping at Clear Lake. Matt was starting law school at USF later that month. I remember being so excited for him. I wanted to know everything about law school. Looking back I was living vicariously through Matt. He was everthing I wanted to be in an earlier life.

Matt had no fear. He knew the direction...
