Matthew Gordon "Matt" Ousset

I am so very sorry to hear of Matt's passing. Especially at this late date. Having known him for so many years, being a neighbor to his wife "Minnie" and her mother. And, having seen him not that very long ago at Antoine's I am profoundly saddened at his passing. A wonderfully sweet, yet truly professional employee of Antoine's he will be remembered with much love and respect. God Bless you Matt, and keep your family well.

This does not seem real. Matt is a giant. He is the figure in the sky that is untouchable. His dedication and strength were inherent in the way he carried himself. He was more interested in the matters of fact at work. He could swiftly cut through the chaos of a dining service at one of the nation's premier restaurants and bring forth levity. He was an ironclad service professional. Few of these professionals exists, and he was certainly one of them. Sad he is no longer with us...

A great loss for his family and all of us who knew him. He always knew how to make your Antoine's dinner special. We almost never had to order, as Matthew already knew what we ate. We will miss his smiling face. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I worked with Matthew for over thirty years at Antoine's Restaurant. Mat worked his way from waiter to bar manager to general manager. He was a very diligent and dedicated employee as well as a father to Megan and Macy. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Megan & Marci, Your Dad was truly an unforgettable and kind person. We will always remember his smile and friendly hand waves. He even helped me become friends with "Grace". It was a pleasure having him as a neighbor and he will be missed.
