Not sure what to say?

Thank you Max for inspiring curiosity and a sense of fun to my studies at Brandeis. You prepared me well for a full career which has always been enhanced by your spirit.

Max, I wonder if you remember me. I'm sure I am one of hundreds who remember you so warmly even though we only knew each other a short time, through Larry. But your hugs were so amazing and special dinners at your house with your family were such a privilege for me. I moved away from Boston and I'm afraid I have few lasting friendships - I will always respect and admire your many kinships. xo

Goodbye Max, you will be sorely missed.
The times we shared at Silver Lake re precious.
Your ability and pride in being able to climb to the summit of Mount Monadnock every day was unique and memorable.
Your environmental concerns were reflected in your quiet canoeing with a battery powered canoe.
Thank you for many great memories.

Inspired by the food and perhaps a wee bit too much wine, I started singing Mozart opera arias (although I'm a big Mozart fan, I never had any music training). I knew it made a big impression on Max...

Goodbye dear Max. You were far more important to me than you ever knew. Without the love and help of you and your wife, our lives would be very different. I will never forget you. Thank you.
