Goodman, Melanie Susan (nee Rechtien), 68, passed away, Sunday, September 8, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Louis, a daughter of Walter A. and Esther (nee Garrison) Rechtien. Melanie was a payroll specialist with Bunzl Distribution.
She is the beloved wife of Jack J. Goodman; dear mother of Alex Hall; step-mother to Joseph Goodman, his wife Kelsey, and their children Malcolm, Jackson, and Leah; loving daughter to Esther Rechtien; loving sister of Jeffrey Rechtien, Stephanie (Michael) DeFonce, and Jay (Ellen) Rechtien; dear sister-in- law to Mari-Jo Goodman, and the late Steven Goodman; also numerous extended family and friends.
Services: Memorial Gathering at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Friday, September 20, 2024 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Humane Society of Missouri. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
