Melissa with Bobcat and Polyester - Feb. 2008

Melissa was one of my best friends, confidante and mentor. She taught me the importance of integrity and honesty above all else and I would not be the person I am today were it not for knowing her. I will never forget the times we shared, the lessons she taught me and the energy she will always exude in my life.

Melissa, I miss you deeply but have found some comfort in knowing that I have one of the strongest guardian angels I could imagine, you will always be with me. I'm...

I too first met Melissa in the Summer of 1969 at Humboldt State. We visited with her family in San Marino. We stayed in touch only through the early 1970s. When Ginny emailed me the announcement I was saddened and shocked. Melissa was a bright, funny, feisty young woman.

My heartfelt condolences go out to her parents, sisters and brother. All Blessings upon her soul.

I knew Melissa briefly in the summer of 1969, when we both attended summer school at Humboldt State. She was a wonderful, funny, bright woman. I am so sorry to hear of her death.

God Bless you & keep you Melissa. I never had the privilege of knowing you personally. However, I do have the privilege of knowing your sister Poppy. I praise God for his mercy, grace and the strength that he gave you. You will always be a part of our hearts...........
God bless you!
