Melissa Earle Phillips

Melissa was one of my best friends, confidante and mentor. She taught me the importance of integrity and honesty above all else and I would not be the person I am today were it not for knowing her. I will never forget the times we shared, the lessons she taught me and the energy she will always exude in my life.

I too first met Melissa in the Summer of 1969 at Humboldt State. We visited with her family in San Marino. We stayed in touch only through the early 1970s. When Ginny emailed me the announcement I was saddened and shocked. Melissa was a bright, funny, feisty young woman.

My heartfelt condolences go out to her parents, sisters and brother. All Blessings upon her soul.

I felt a deep deep sense of loss/shock! when I came across news of Melissa's passing...in the Times Standard. I had a chance to meet her for a brief period in the 80s.
