Young Family Funeral Home - Hudson ChapelMichael “Mike” “Mike, Mike, Mike” Jerome Bonse, 43, of Waterloo Indiana passed away peacefully in his residence surrounded by loved ones on March 13th, 2026.
Mike was born on May 13th, 1982, in Toledo, Ohio. Mike was born to Marlene Johnson (Shinaver) and raised into the wonderful man everyone loved with the help of Keith Johnson. Mike had a successful career working at Griffith Rubber Mills in Garrett, Indiana working his way up to Supervisor and gaining a second family from the strong relationships he created in his 16 years of service. Mike’s hobbies included hunting and fishing, hanging out with his family, and watching Ohio State football games. Mike was deemed the family mechanic due to his ability to tinker and willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need. He was always teasing and picking on his children and the nieces and nephews and trying to always make the mood lighter due to his childish antics. Mike also really enjoyed playing with and spoiling his fur babies, Thor and Bear.
Mike is survived by his wife of 6 ½ years, Trisha; daughters Alexandra (Alex) Fluttrow (Pelletier) of Auburn, Madison (Madi) Polk of Gap Mills WV, Harmony Bonse of Auburn, Taylor Polk of Waterloo; sons Marcus Bonse of Waterloo, Wyatt Polk of Waterloo, and Brayden Bonse of Waterloo. Mike is survived by both his parents Keith and Marlene Johnson of Ashley. He is survived by siblings Angela (Angie) Eben of Bradner OH, James Hafner of Montpelier OH, Danielle (Nikki) Morris of Angola, Robert (Rob) Bonse of Georgetown KY, and Corey Johnson of Toledo OH. Mike also leaves behind two granddaughters, Kaydence (Monkey) Aleshire of Gap Mills WV and Anastasia (Ana) Fluttrow of Auburn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a great-niece and great-nephew.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson.
