Michael Randy Castle, age 58, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. 


Mike was born in Washington County, VA, to the late James and Anna Lee Patrick Castle. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Hickman; brothers, Bobby Castle and Clifford Castle; and father-in-law, William Firestone. A hardworking and dedicated man, Mike spent over 30 years, working his way up to supervisor, at Envision Environmental. While he was known for his strong work ethic, his greatest devotion was to his family, always placing them at the center of his life. In his free time, Mike was an avid fisherman who cherished every opportunity to cast a line and enjoy the peace of the water.


He is survived by his loving wife of almost 27 years Teresa Ann Castle; children Josh Jones, Conner Castle & Emmaline, Cayden Castle & Allee, Hayley Jones & Maggie, Josh Castle, and Olivia Castle; grandchildren Hunter Jones, Xileigh Jones, C.J. Jones, Katie Castle, & Alianna Woodruff; brothers Chico Castle & wife Nina and Ray Castle & wife Earnestine; sisters Tammy Long & husband Joe, Sue Gibson, and Teresa Hamilton & husband Mike; mother-in-law Linda Firestone; brothers-in-law Billy Firestone and Roger Firestone & wife Kelly; several nieces, and nephews to include a special niece Carol Sharp & husband Jim, and close friends James & Amber Davis, Art & Cheryl Davis, Janice Rose, Eugene & Betty Winebarger, and Bill & Phyllis Gillespie. 


Memorial services will be held at 6:00PM, Friday, May 9, 2025, from the Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Frank Branson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The family will have a private visitation on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
