Michael Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 11, 2019.
Michael John Davis, age 72, after a long battle with cancer, passed away July 10, 2019 at the hospice Legacy House in Ocala, Florida.
Michael was born in Springville, NY to parents Alton B. and Lydia Amelia. Michael and wife Peggy were married 50 years and have two sons Anthony and Gregory (wife Staci and stepson Logan) and daughter Heather along with four grandchildren Drake, Cassidy, Riley and Austin-Anthony. He has seven brothers Jerry, Daniel, Jeff, Mark, Roger, Craig and Lee and one sister Barbara, nine nieces and six nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his son Anthony, both parents, brother Lee, niece Samantha and two nephews Grant and Joshua.
Michael grew up and attended school in Yorkshire, NY and obtained his degree from Alfred State before joining the United States Air Force in 1967. In 1996, Michael established Cornerstone Communications and Cabling, Inc. in Richmond, Va. and remained president until his passing.
An avid bowler, Michael belonged to two bowling leagues and was at the alleys every chance he had. That is if he wasn't at either of his two square dance clubs, fretting over his lawn or on a cruise somewhere. He sincerely appreciated each of his customers that helped build his company and loved being with all his friends and family. The family would like to express their appreciation, especially to Darrin and his two sons and David and his four children and granddaughter for the support and love as extended family over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Legacy House of Ocala, Fl. A service will be held at the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens in Ocala, Fl. on August 17th at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life held at the Bella Cucina clubhouse inside Oak Run Country Club of Ocala at 11:30 AM.
