Not sure what to say?

I just found out that Mike had passed away 2 years ago. I met Mike at a small comic book convention in San Francisco in 1991. At the time, I had my 3 year old son with me. I bought an original Conan page from him. When he saw my son, he took the time to talk to him, and gave him a detailed Conan sketch, writing "To Eric, a real Barbarian." I didn't know Mike well, obviously, but I never forgot that pleasant encounter, and what a warm, friendly person he was. Belated...

I just learned this gentleman ha passed away about 2 years ago, He was a 1/6 collector from which I got many ww2 vehicles, a very kind person to talk to, and a fun person to spend time with. RIP Michael Docherty.

There wasn't enough time Mike.

I was very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I never met him in person, but thoroughly enjoyed inking a few of his Conan stories at Marvel. Mike, your art lives on!

Still thinking of you, JoEllen. I was very fond of Mike...my friend and roommate. And though we were apart these past years, I still felt close to you both. I know he will be missed. Such a special guy!!

I met Mike about forty-five years ago,and for years after we did everything together, drank, built bikes and had a great time. In 1980 he went to America, but he never forgot his friends over here,he still kept in contact, and when I eventually got online, there was hardly a day that an anecdote or a joke wasn't waiting for me. I will miss my good friend. Nodrog

our hearts and our thoughts are with you Jo Ellen at the sad loss of this truly wonderful amazing man Michael .we loved him and will miss him always . grant and Linda from Glasgow Scotland .

Mick and myself go back roughly 40 odd years and while we got ourselves into and out of many scrapes mick was a right character and you could not help laughing about things. Although we have not met in many, many years I will sorely miss him and his antics

Michael was one of the kindest and funniest people I've had the honor to know. I'm so truly sorry for his loss. Jo Ellen, my thoughts and prayers are with you. His candle was so bright and so strong, that the world is dimmer without him.
