Not sure what to say?

We feel fortunate to have had Mike's friendship, he always had a smile on his face and projected his positive attitude. Jan and Joannie, we know you have him with you in your hearts just as we enjoy our memories of times with him. We send our love to you and your family.

I was a T.A. for Mr. Heron for a couple of years in the 70's. He definitely was one of my favorite teachers and favorite people; he was very good to me and my sister, Dede and taught us many life lessons. I also babysat for him and Janice when Joanie was just a little thing. They forgave me when I nearly burned down his kitchen making popcorn one night! Jan and Joanie, my thoughts and prayers are with you. He was a wonderful man and will be missed...

My thoughts and prayers for the Heron family.I took 3 of his classes ,he made them fun to learn. He will be missed by many students, friends and family.

Janice & Joan, Mike was such a fun and loving person that I'm sure you will him miss greatly. I remember his sense of humor especially around Norman and teasing Mildred. I always left with a pain in my side from laughing so hard. He always had that funny little grin that perked up your day.

Jan and Joanie,
I just learned of Mike's passing. My deepest condolences! My thoughts and prayers are with you both! He was truly a great person. Your family is deeply admired.

Love to you both,

Terri Lee Ruiz

Jan and Joan - Our deepest sympathies on your great loss. We say " Great" because Mike was a GREAT person. I really enjoyed working with him as athletic director and as rival coaches in softball. I thank the good Lord for having given me the opportunity to have known him and his family. He will be missed.
Our prayers are with him and his wonderful family.

I was sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  We were close friends through Jr High and High School - unfortunately we lost touch until this years 50th reunion planning.  Had hoped that we might renew our friendship.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Gary & Beryl Kerr

Jan and Joan, may you find comfort in sweet and happy memories that will forever remain with you. We send our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Estelle & Scott

I was lucky enough to have had Mr. Heron as a teacher, and a coach. I even babysat for Joanie many moons ago. Coach booted me off the team my jr. year and it was one of my most valuable lessons in life..the next year I knew I best listen to Coach Heron..One of my favs of his words of wisdom was, "you can lead a horse to water but a pencils always lead'". You will be missed by many.
