Not sure what to say?

My best childhood memories were the adventures you took Erinn and me on in Michigan.

The Fish Whisperer doing what he did best!

Forever my fish whisperer! We love you so much!

Dear MaryAnn and family,
I was saddened to learn of of Michael's passing. Then, I thought about his Dad, Bud greeting him with open arms and golf clubs ready for a perfect round. Love and hugs to all of you.

Dear Maryann and family,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Michael's passing. I know that you are thankful that he had his Dad to welcome him to heaven. I'm sure it was a joyful reunion!
Love, Teresa Hughes VanderKooi

Successful salmon fishing trip on lake Michigan 1984

I will always cherish my memories of fishing and golfing with Schmig. What an amazing person! My heart aches today and please know that everyone in the family is in my thoughts and prayers. However, I love the words in the obituary and believe they are true. Mike is enjoying the best golfing and fishing imaginable. I've attached a photo showing the "fruits" of one of our many memorable fishing trips. Mike couldn't stop admiring the fish even long enough for a quick picture.

I am so sorry to hear of Mikes passing please know that you Marianne and your family are in my thoughts and prayers
