MICHAEL C. KOSINSKI SOUTH HOLLAND, IL Michael C. Kosinski, age 55, of South Holland, IL, passed away suddenly Friday, July 24, 2009. Beloved husband of Karen Kosinski (nee Renkowiecki); devoted father of Michael (Candace) Kosinski and Tracy (Mark) Kosinski; proud bampa of Hannah, Faith and Grace; loving son of Donald and the late Barbara Kosinski (Nee Holland); dearest brother of Donna Kosinski, Patricia (Fred) Lorenz, Caryn, Kelly (Rob), James and the late Stephen Kosinski; dear son-in-law of Joseph and the late Gertrude Renkowiecki; kind nephew, uncle and cousin of many. Visitation Monday, July 27, 2009 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Prayer service Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St. South Holland, IL 60473) to St. Jude the Apostle Church (880 E. 154th St. South Holland, IL) for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Michael was a bright burning firecracker. He spent 35 beautiful years married to his high school sweetheart. They made a loving family together and had two children. He created a wonderful childhood for his kids, taking them on nature hikes and coaching their baseball and softball teams. He was a doting "bampa" with three grandkids who were truly the apple's of his eye. With six siblings he was a loving and reliable brother. As an ironworker in local 395 (Hammond) he spent 35 years on the "beam" and was a trustee for nine years. He loved going with his wife to Nascar races and turned his garden into gold every summer. Words cannot express how much he will be missed but he is loved and will remain in our hearts always and forever. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery-Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105) appreciated. For further information (708) 333-7000 or www.smitsfuneralhomes.com

I wish we could have one more day
............Love you, Kelly

I know we've never met, but I am Mike Maloney's oldest daughter, and I used to talk to Mike on the phone when I was a little girl and he would call our house. To me, he was Mr. Mikey, and he would always stop and chat with me for a few minutes, making me feel like a grown-up instead of just the kid who gives her dad the phone. I am so terribly sorry for your loss, and I know he will be missed by many. ~Michelle Maloney-Mangold, Manchester, CT

Caryn, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. Please know you are in my thoughts during this most difficult time for you and your family members.

Kelly, So sorry to hear about Michael. Thinking about you and hoping you are all doing OK.

My deepest sympathy to your family for your loss. I'd like to have something magically eloquent to say that may help, but I don't. Mike will be greatly missed by myself as well as throughout our local. I always enjoyed working w/Mike, and always learned something when I did. So long Brother.

Paddi and Family,
Our deepest condolences are with all of you for the loss of your brother. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Steve and Bobbie Svedberg, Lansing

My deepest condolances to Kelly and her family for the loss.
