Today is Saturday Octobet 19, 2024. I'm again looking at this snapshot of Mike's life. Although all is relevant, I close my eyes and see that BIG Smile of his, him hugging Everybody he knew & just met, his positive words about everyone he knew, and his genuine love of his family. Michael was a great and true loyal friend and pal as hew would refer to me as. I met Mike in 1958 at the annual Louisiana Boys State (Bayou) program, held on the Southern University Campus, Baton Rouge, LA for all high school young men who had finished their junior year in high school. Our friendship became more solid when I met Mike again at Xavier's senior day activity in spring of 1959, and then subsequently enrolling at Xavier for our Freshman year, Fall of 1959. It is with deep regrets that the funeral was held and no one in my family knew about it. I remember how Mike loved playing cards with Beverly's uncle Louis Fletcher. I haven't seen Mike in later years but I will always remember his big smile Rest in peace , Mike. Our thought are with Connie, my sister Gloria's best friend and the family.

Rest in peace, cousin. we will be praying for you, as well as for the rest of our family.
