Michael Liles

I'm shocked and saddened. I'd been thinking about Mike a lot recently, especially in the last 2 months. We were close friends during UC Berkeley days, took several classes together. I greatly admired his creative genius, his intelligence and warmth, loved tripping together in his VW bus, and enjoyed many adventures with him and friends. I feel really bad that I didn't reach out to touch base more recently. Looking him up online led me here to this sad news. Here's a photo he took of me back...

I am sadden to find this news. My family lived next to Mike and Ki when our kids where little and they were wonderful neighbors. He was very kind and helpful. My condolences to the family.

Michael was the sweetest, kindest person and was always a gentleman. Heaven gained an Angel.

So many fond memories of Michael during our annual, cherished Bluegrass Festivals at Clipper Mills. Jil and I are so sad to see such a vibrant soul depart before his time. Never again will I enjoy a tasty bite of my favorite meal - Abalone - without a smile on my face and sadness in my heart thinking of you. Our sincere condolences to beautiful Ki and the extended family.
