Not sure what to say?

Unbelievably I just learned of this. Mike we shared a lot of good times and laughs. You really were one of a kind and we all enjoyed that. RIP good man. You lived as many would like to.

And I'm still waiting for those oversize streamers I ordered!! You said they were almost ready!

RIP

I'm not sure how many people I have come across in this lifetime, but I do know that most don't leave any kind of mark on me with the exception of a few. The loss of Mike Martinek will be a void in my life, even if he was only an acquaintance the past twenty years.

From the time we first met on the same Little League team in 1957 you never seemed to change...always a grin from ear to ear, although the conversation became more interesting. I knew of your fly tying skills and was most impressed when speaking with my new neighbor about fly fishing and mentioning your name...his reaction showed you had 'rock star' status in the field.
One of the few who never had an enemy...a great
classmate.

RIP

I always enjoyed our fly tying sessions, learning from the Master, and hearing the stories - Oh the stories! Rest in peace.

Rest In Peace, Mike. Miss you, my teacher, mentor, and friend.

Mike,
I only knew you through your fishing flies. The blues and bass couldn't resist them. Fair winds and following seas.

Rest in Peace Mike, I too will miss you, learned alot from you.

Rest In Peace, Big Man. Your shrewd wit, big-heartedness and encyclopedic knowledge will be missed by many.

Mike truly is a character larger than life. Our memories are rich with great adventures with Mickey. He is a true Peter Pan.
