Mike was a great man and I am so blessed by being his daughter-in-law. He was not only my dad but my friend. To know him was to love him. I have never known a more kind, gentle or sweet man. He was generous and gave everything he had not only to those he loved but those in need.

Uncle Mike was like a father to me, and I will always cherish doing his shopping and picking up his favorite potato salad and corned beef hash. I looked forward to seeing him every week, even when seeing him became painful due to that horrible disease. He always kept his sense of humor and his heart was even bigger than his appetite. I started to miss him the second the disease took over, but take comfort in my memories and the fact that he's now with Papa. Love you, Uncle Mike! XO
