Not sure what to say?

Michael was my dear sweet wonderful friend in NYC. We met in the early '90s and he worked for me as a courier part-time while he played music at night and on the weekends. I was always inspired by his commitment to his craft and that he never stopped believing in his creativity as a songwriter. He helped me as a musician and a singer, and gave me opportunities to sing on his recordings and at gigs. He was a peaceful soulful human being who had triumphed his personal challenges. One of a kind guy. Shared some memorable moments with Michael in LA in the late 70's. Although we never communicated but once since then, every few years I'd check to see how he was doing through YouTube. He was my blues brother for sure. My condolences to his family and friends.

I saw him often in Staten Island over the years as well as in jazz venues in Greenwich Village. He was the real thing, an authentic voice of the art of blues music. He will be missed.

Brilliant musician and song writer, big encouragement to other artists, and very inspirational human being. Very sad he's gone.

Michael Packer although we did not know each other well I loved your music and we were Facebook friends. I send my love and will see you in heaven when the time comes love the blues. Please rest in peace my friend.

I have seen Michael play many times but the time I remember the most was when we all went to Memphis. He was in the solo/duo category. He was amazing. Very heartfelt performance. I'll miss him.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Michael Packer. May the wonderful memories of your loved one continue to provide a measure of comfort to you until God's promises are fulfilled. Matthew 5:5
