Michael "Mike" Philbin

Love and prayers to Mary Jo and family! So sorry to hear of your loss!

My dad, Richard Ehrenberg worked with Mr. Philbin for 20 years at the Ypsilanti fire department. They were good friends for many years after retiring. My Dad and Mr. Philbin were the best euchre partners at the station and later on with my mom Laurie and Mrs. Philbin who also are dear friends. He was a great man with a smile and laugh to match. My parents send their deepest sympathy: "Rest In Peace Dear Friend we will miss you." Also love and sympathy to the family from my sister...

Mike and I served together in the Ypsi Fire Dept. I can remember all the time and energy he spent trying to get the first "ambulance" for the city which we used as a first responder truck. Mike was a dedicated Capitan who cared for the men in his charge. We fought lots of fire together and the memories come flooding back as I read of his death. Our prayers go out to Mary Jo and his family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Philbin family. I knew Mike while he was with Ypsilanti Fire and I was at Pittsfield Township and later Ann Arbor Fire. Mike was always friendly, courteous and I was glad to call him a fellow firefighter and friend.
