Michael Matthew Pousson, 75, of Sulphur, LA passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018.


 


Mr. Pousson was born on December 23, 1942 in Lake Charles to Dorothy Vincent and Allen Pousson. He served our great country in Vietnam from 1966-1967 during his four years of service in the United States Navy. While working at Christus St. Patrick Hospital he graduated from nursing at McNeese State University. He went on to work as an industrial nurse at Citgo for 12 years and a registered nurse at Christus St. Patrick Hospital for 33 years before retiring in 2008. Mr. Pousson was a lifelong resident of Louisiana and loved to spend time with his family. He spent his spare time fishing and camping.


 


Left to cherish Mr. Pousson’s memory is his loving wife of 37 years, Brenda Pousson; three sons, Jules Pousson of Dallas, TX, Joseph Pousson (Krista) of Westlake, and Michael Pousson (Karrie) of Westlake; three daughters, Alecia Broussard (Joel) of Moss Bluff, Aimee Boutin (Landon) of Sulphur, and Lacey Knight (Max) of Sulphur; brother, Theo “Billy” Pousson of Lake Charles; sister, Sheron O’Quinn of Lake Charles; and 10 grandchildren, Mia, Wyatt, Madelynn, Carlie, Morgan, Kathryn, Noah, Chase, Addalee, and Kennedy.


 


He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jesse Pousson and mother Nancy; brother, Paul Pousson; and sister, Ellen Dugas.


 


Mr. Pousson’s funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon Keith Ellender will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 5:30 PM. On Thursday morning visitation will resume at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
