Mike was my first OJI at my first real job with the Treasury Department, way back in 1987. He was a great person to be around.

Mike was a colleague of mine at the U.S. Treasury - Criminal Division for many years. As a new recruit, I, as well as many others relied on Mike for his expert guidance in sorting through our case work and our responsibilities as agents to our colleagues and the public. Mike was one of the few who did not let politics influence his decision making, which set him far apart from others. I will always remember Mike as a sweet man and so nice to work with. He wore a big smile on his face and was just a pleasure to be around. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family during this time of grief.

It's a well known fact, up in Nebraska, that Mike and I were born at the same Omaha hospital just 39 days apart! Mike was a friend on the job for many years. I wish we'd have kept in touch after our retirements. RIP buddy!

Mike was one of the sweetest people that I knew. I was so sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed by so many people.
