Michael Schott Obituary
Michael proudly served in Afghanistan with the 1433rd Engineer Company with the MI Army National Guard. He was the recipient of many military honorary awards:
Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star
Army Commendation Medal
National Defense Service Medal
Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
Army Service Ribbon
Overseas Service Ribbon
Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device
Combat Action Badge
Visitation will be in the Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores, on Wednesday Dec. 2 from 3 to 8. Sharing of Memory service will be in the funeral home, at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery on Thursday, Dec 3, at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Warrior Beach Retreat. PO box 19555 Panama City Beach. Florida 32413 .

I am so sad to hear that Michael is gone. I am even more sad for.his great group of friends and his wonderful family and Meredith. What a huge loss. His smile and love for friends and family and country will never be forgotten. I wish everyone well.

Mike was a huge part of my life for many years. It seems like yesterday even though so many years have passed. I feel like the piece of my heart he held a special place in is forever broken. My prayers go out to his entire family. I have so many wonderful memories to hold on to and I am a better person for having had the privilege of having him in my life for as long as I did. Remembering all the "warrior" weekends the boys played, the constant companionship, the baseball diamond in our backyard....it is so difficult to lose someone who has been a large part of our lives. Mike is immortalized in our family and will be forever missed.
My sadness in not being able to attend services. The children will explain.

Our sons go back many years and have known each other since grade school. I am so very happy they all had the friendship they had and the memories that will live on for them. My heart is crushed the friend ship we share is epic. From grade school until eternity it will always carry on brother. The great memories of our trips with our buddies, to the laughs on the couch after your week long stays at the house, to the Sunday fun days on the boat, to grilling steaks to having ice cold beers. You were the life and laughter that enlightened everyone you came across. My condolences to Mr. Schott, Mr. And Ms. List, Christy & Joe and nices & nephews. Michael was a great friend son, brother and uncle. He lived for having fun and did it with class. My thoughts are with you allat this difficult and tragic time.
